Safari Tour Of South Africa.
Finally we could do the Safari of the South Africa and booked a five day tour starting from Capetown and as far north as Addo Elephant National Park a little further that Port Elisabeth. I believe we drove about 1.600 km and most days we had early starts an hed to get up between 02:00 and 06:00. We had a great guide and he packed a lot of things into to tour. We were eight persons on the tour, with two from USA and Germany, two from Switzerland and Chris and I. It was a good group and we all enjoyd it. The below are my photos for the tour and a video will follow ASAP.
Beach hotel as the first stop.
A river stop for cajaking.
Our hotel on the beach was a fantastic house with a wonderful view over the water and right at the beach.
Then on to the worlds highest Bungee Jump ridge of 216 m over the ground. Scary.....
Then on to a Zipline ride with eight lines going over the river and waterfalls.
On to the suspension bridges over the Storm River mouth. Tough walk and I pulled a muscle in my right leg.
The restaurant for the night.
Up at 02:00 with a departure of 03:00 and a couple of hours drive through the night to get to the Addo National Elephant Park which is the size of Belgium and is the third largest park in South Africa. Here we are seeking to find the Tigers, but did not see them in their morning activity.
The three Elephants.
Thermites by the millions and everywhere.
Look closely to the right of the middle bush and there were Lions laying in the shade.
More Lions on the right middle bush.
Another hotel on the beach.
On to an Ostrich farm. Funny birds.
Big eggs that can make an omelet for 12 people.
On to the Cando Caves where apparently the first humans lived. A huge complex of Caves.
The hightlight of the trip was the Buffelsdrift priva game park.
Reception area on the second floor.
Pleanty of animals just outside our "Tent".
Our tent.
Nice restaurant.
Some wine tasting.
Beautiful setting.
Three friendly Elephants. Very soft animals.
